Impact Evaluation Study of NHM

National Horticulture Mission (NHM) under Rashtriya Krishi Vikas Yojana has been launched as a Centrally Sponsored Scheme to promote holistic growth of the horticulture sector through an area based regionally differentiated strategies. The mission would adopt the strategies to ensure an end-to-end holistic approach covering production, post harvest management, processing and marketing to assure appropriate returns to growers/producers, promote R&D technologies for production, post-harvest management and processing, enhance acreage, coverage, and productivity, assist setting up post harvest facilities such as pack house, ripening chamber, cold storages, Controlled Atmosphere (CA) storages etc, processing units for value addition and marketing infrastructure and promote capacity-building and Human Resource Development at all levels.

The impact assessment works has been carried out in eleven districts of Chhattisgarh namely Bilaspur, Durg, Jagdalpur, Jashpur, Korba, Korea, Kabirdham, Rajnandgaon, Raigarh, Raipur and Sarguja,
