Admission

Candidates who have successfully passed Class XII may fill in the application form and send the same by speed post along with one copy each of passport size and stamp size photograph, one photocopy of all relevant certificates, mark sheets of various examinations passed and a bank draft of the registration fee i.e. Rs. 500/-.

Course Fee:

The course fee for the entire 6-months course is only Rs. 2500 including registration fee. The Registration fee (Rs. 500) is to be paid with the application form. Application forms without registration fee will not be accepted. The students or participants have to enroll their names by submitting the registration fee within the declared time period. Course fee of Rs. 2000/- is to be paid in two installments. Fifty Percent of the Course fee is to be paid at the time of first session and rest within one month. The payment should be made by Demand Draft/cheque in favour of "Indian Institute of Bio-Social Research and Development" payable at Kolkata.

Mode of teaching
The mode of teaching follows a two-phase process:

  • Distance learning
  • Personal contact with the students at the Interactive Centers.

Eligibility

In order to enroll for the course, the candidate should have at least passed Class XII examination successfully in any discipline. There is no cut off age for the admission.

Medium of Instruction

The medium of instruction is English. Materials are also being developed in vernacular languages like Oriya, Hindi, Telegu. A set of books and other training materials are handed over to the participants in the inaugural session and the remaining set of the course materials is dispatched to the interactive centres. The students are supposed to collect them from respective interactive centers.

Attendance

The students need to attend the follow up sessions in the interactive centres at least once in a month. 80% attendance out of the total follow up sessions is essential for awarding certificates.

Examination

Examination is conducted every month at the interactive centers. The candidate needs to pass each and every monthly examination before taking the second test.

Certificates

Those who successfully complete the entire 6-months programme are awarded full statement of marks secured by the examinee and a certificate.
