Time Frame – January 2009 to March 2011

Tripura Forest Environment and Poverty Alleviation Project is funded by Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA).  IBRAD was appointed as Training Resource Agency for the project. Number of training program for the different levels of officials and staff of Forest Department as well as Community members under the project have been organized. Till now the following training program have been carried out by IBRAD:

32 Training on Livelihood Planning and 6 Training for the RO, BO, DPO and DPM

1 TOT on Capsule I for RO and 1 ToT on Cap II for LC/ CO in the month of November 2010 were conducted

10 Trainings were organized for the JFMC president, member secretaries and field facilitator on Basic Concept of JFM and microplanning

Follow up training of the Community Organizers on Forest Density Assessment and Microplanning

Training for the JFMC members on Basic concept of JFM and Microplan:

Objectives: 

Objective of the training on Basic concept of JFM and Microplanning were as follows:

  • To make the participants aware about the basic concept of JFM
  • To develop their capacity to carry out of Participatory Assessment
  • To clarify the steps of JFMC formation, Microplan formulation and annual plan preparation

Training of Mid level Offcicials regarding JFM at Udaipur Division Objectives of the training program:

  • To make the forest officials, IGA support team, JFMC members clear about the TFIPAP project objectives, structures, components & activities
  • To facilitate the participatory Assessment Technique
  • To elaborate the process of JFMC formation, Microplan formulation and annual plan preparation
  • To make the participants confident to undertake a SMART plan of action after completion of the training

Training of Trainers (TOT) for Livelihood coordinator , Member secretary , Community organizers:

Objective of Training of Trainers (TOT):

  • To develop future trainers
  • To improve the communication , presentation , facilitation , listening skill of the participants
  • To make the participants understand how to build rapport with the villagers in order to form a non threatening environment for training at village level
  • To make the participants understand how to assess the training need
  • To make the participants able to design training module and training programme as per the training need

Follow up training of the Community Organizers on Forest Density Assessment and microplanning:

Objective of the training:

  • To share the experience of the participants and identify the problem they are facing in the field in preparation of microplan
  • To make the participants aware about the concept and methodology of forest density assessment
  • To demonstrate the methodology of forest density assessment in the filed

Training of Trainers (TOT) for the JFMC president, FF:
Objective of the training of trainers (TOT):

  • To build up future trainers
  • To make the participants understand how to conduct participatory vegetation monitoring
  • To improve the communication, presentation, facilitation, listening skill of the participants
  • To make the participants understand how to build rapport with the villagers in order to form a non threatening environment for training at village level
  • To make the participants understand how to assess the training need
  • To make the participants able to design training module and training programme as per the training need
